Celebrate the Spring Equinox with an urban farm-to-table feast that honours the utter deliciousness of this most gorgeous and sprightly of seasons.
The Spring Equinox is one of the two points in the year when the day and the night are of equal length (the other occurs six months later in autumn). At this time of year we honour the vibrant new flush of spring growth, and look forward to a plentiful summer harvest.
We are celebrating this beautiful time of year by taking you on an urban farm-to-table journey that’s quite literally all about growth and nourishment. We’ll start at Pocket City Farms, an urban ecological farm in Camperdown where everything is organically grown. You’ll enjoy a tour of the farm, which in my personal view is one of the most blissful spots in the Inner West. You’ll roam around the very plants that grew the harvest you’ll shortly be feasting on, and learn all about urban farming and why it’s amazing along the way.
After the tour, you’ll make your own way to Hearth & Soul (a 12 minute drive or Uber, or a 26 minute twilight spring walk :)), where we’ll welcome you with a gorgeous seasonal cocktail for you to enjoy enjoy as you settle into our haven of nourishment.
You'll then take a seat at our gorgeous feasting table and enjoy a nourishing three course meal showcasing alllllll the amazing deliciousness you’ve just seen growing at Pocket City Farms. I'll introduce each course and talk to you throughout the evening about my approach to food and the seasons, and share the inspiration behind each dish. And of course, all of your food will be infused with an extra-special dose of Hearth & Soul love.
We accomodate dietary requirements (please advise us in advance via the booking form). Alcohol from our wine list will be available to purchase on the evening (your welcome cocktail is included in the ticket price).
