The middle ground

Hello my loves,

Good god, I am exhausted! With the lifting of lockdown in Sydney, it feels like things have gone from zero to a hundred in sixty seconds, and all this stimulation has rendered me a husk of my former self. While it’s incredible to be out and about and enjoying everything non-lockdown life has to offer, this week I’ve been reminded that replenishment time is just as vital. For me it’s felt like quite a big pendulum swing to go from lockdown back into the Full Sydney Experience - both existences have their charms, and both have their challenges too. As is so often the case, neither is all good or all bad, so I’m currently doing my level best to cherry-pick from both, and create a nourishing middle-ground that sustains me longterm.

And so today, I’m sure you’ll understand if I keep it brief, as I set off to claim some pockets of downtime amidst the exciting offerings studding my weekend calendar. Also, do not be alarmed if you hear from me intermittently or not at all during November, as I’m heading off on an adventure! My beloved and I are jumping in the car, pointing it west and driving till the dirt turns red. We have no agenda, no itinerary, and only the loosest of plans. I absolutely cannot wait.

And so my darlings, as I sail off into the setting sun, I wish you balance and harmony and replenishment. I'll be back in your inboxes in early December, or perhaps before if the mood strikes me from the road. Sending you all my love till we meet again 💛.

Love, Rachel xxx
